Good stuff. I'm going to keep my eyes on the prize and try to get my fellow Democrats to do the same. One good thing about being an oldster whose only social media is Substack, I'm kind of oblivious to the trolls and the Carney crap. Thanks for the heads up.
What would be a good way at this point for Talarico and Crockett to call Carney's bluff? What would happen if they admonished their supporters to engage on substance during the primaries rather than personality and trash talk? Both these young whippersnappers seem to have a good grasp on the online culture and games.
Stay out of our primary and we will stay out of yours. We have excitement now. And that means all our rural county Dems who now have a Democrat to vote for in every single state wide, state senate, house and federal congressional district have a reason to vote and not save Republicans from the disaster that is coming. We aren’t saving Cornyn, we aren’t saving Jake Ellzey or whatever other “ok” congressman there is who has horrific extremist challengers. We have our own candidates and we are going to excite the base like never before across this state. So keep up your attacks. We aren’t saving you and we are all gonna be super excited to vote in this Democratic Primary!
Our problem in the democratic party has been the chief element in our defeated candidates- emotions. You can win in a campaign if you run it on emotions. Research, is the key. Know your battleground. Not neighbor informing neighbor, because fall to fabrication instead of truth. Our party has sections that vote by race, vote by religion or back a candidate that looks like them acts similarly to them ,and never looks at credible sources of the candidates campaign ,NOT dominated by social media. NOT all credible media is biased. I know I worked in it for 52 years and was taught how to discern facts from fabrication. In elections I was told to look at the past history NO T current events at first ,see how they voted for whom or what. Once done you look at current issues ,and see how the candidate you choose differs form their opponent and then see how much you candidate actually knows about the issues, not a firebrand or run of the mouth speech. Look at their proposed plans. If they can not produce one quickly then they are weak. Your candidate should not be speaking to supporters just to satisfy what they want to hear, that is P>T. Barnum ( look him up) They should speak with an organized plan that includes what is not working for them with solutions. So be careful what you see on fb and other social media if some falsely ( like act blue) produce a poll, LOOK FOR THE SOURCE , then look up the source to see if it's fairly new, or one with a history of credibility. Act Blue polls often, and have many times, exaggerated their findings. Stick to facts and truth. if you do these thins, democrats can win.

Now is where we see if they can lead.
Sharing is caring. 🩵😘

Smart analysis. I agree that the Rs haven’t yet found anything they can take pot shots at Talarico about. May TX dems fight United. 🙏
Crockett should drop right back out again. Can she be persuaded?
Lots of essential stuff here particularly on focus and action rather than chasing stuff on the internet.
Only thing I would dispute is that it might be that economic issues is causing the decrease in Latino support for Republicans.
I’d argue it will be important for Democratic candidates to explain their plans to reduce border crossings without relying on cruelty and fear.
I hope this message reaches our democratic candidates.
